The main mission of the Mediterranean Water Purification is the operation and maintenance of sanitation and water purification, an activity essential to society as a whole.
It is therefore essential that facilities are maintained in a state of optimal functioning and adequate conditions of safety and hygiene and environmental protectionare assured. Furthermore work should not only be confined to the operation of the plant, but also give priority to the collection and identification of discharge, a network of collectors, waste management and sludge,and avoiding the breakdowns which may cause pollution discharges,whilst respecting appropriate securityconditions and in accordance with customer requirements. Moreover, planning and coordination carried out from offices and the leadership are essential for the proper functioning of the system.
In order to make the directorion aware of the importance of quality, risk prevention, environmental management and social aspects , we at DAM have decided to establish a management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 (quality management), ISO 14001:2004 (environmental management) and OSHAS 18001 (management of prevention of occupational hazards).
This policy is an expression of the commitment to the management. Commitment which in turn has to be extended to all personnel within their respective responsibilities and work areas.
Therefore, the Directorate has set the following objectives:
